LATE MAY BANK HOLIDAY IN MALHAM
Change to the original plan for August.....
The Spring May Bank Holiday weekend away in 2020 will be held at Hill Top Farm Bunkbarn in Malham - exclusive hire, Friday 22nd to Monday 25th May
Accommodation.... The barn is split into four different levels and can sleep up to 32 people in 6 different sized bedrooms (allocation to be decided when numbers are known). On the first floor is a combined lounge, kitchen, and dining room with magnificent views over Malhamdale. There are two bathrooms, both on the ground floor, comprising four showers and five wc's in total. To the rear of the barn is a drying/boot room. The kitchen (self catering) is fully equipped with everything you should need for cooking for large groups and we have an outside area for games, sunbathing and barbecues. Pillows and pillowcases are provided, guests bring sleeping bags or duvet. It's a two minute walk into the village where there are two pubs.
Costs.... Rough cost for 3 nights accommodation will be between 70 to 90 pounds per person. A deposit of 30 pounds is required now to a secure place. Full balance will be required by 16th March 2020
Food.... for breakfasts & lunch you will need to provide your own. Evening Meals, we propose to do a group meal in the bunkhouse on Friday (bolognaise or similar) or bring your own, Saturday will be a BBQ and Sunday evening will be in a local pub.
Walks.... The plan is to do 5 mile walk on Friday afternoon. Saturday will be a walk taking in the local landmarks of Janet's Foss, Malham Cove, and Goredale Scar. Sunday will be a 12-14 mile walk.
Please let us know if you are coming as soon as possible. For those that haven't already got them, we will pass on bank details for bacs payment on request.
Thanks Janet & Jimmy

Notes on Weekend Bookings:
Please help the organiser by booking, and paying, for weekends as
early as possible.
If a late booking is absolutely necessary, then it may be possible to
directly with the Youth Hostel. This requires individual membership
of the YHA
(currently about £14). Such bookings must be made on an individual
attempt should be made to refer, or "tag on", to the group booking,
creates confusion for both the hostel warden and the organiser.
